What to expect at your first visit.
Dr. Ament evaluates you after a staff member gathers your history, then writes a plan made for you. Here is how the visit goes, and what to have ready.

New patients
A team member contacts you before the visit.
Visits are by appointment only.
Complete your forms in the patient portal.
Registration uses your first and last name and an email address on file. The portal works once staff have entered your basic details, so call first. If your forms are not done, plan to arrive 30 to 40 minutes early.
A staff member gathers your history.
Then Dr. Ament evaluates you and does an exam.
Dr. Ament writes a personalized plan.
Staff share the plan with your whole care team, so everyone treating you is working from the same page.
What to bring
- A list of your questions, and anyone you would like to bring with you
- Medical records. If you have none, the practice will request them
- Your medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements, ideally in the bottles
- A list of your allergies
Follow-up visits
Follow-up visits review your symptoms, your medications, any testing, the other providers you are seeing, and any emergency room or urgent care visits since the last time. A symptom diary is worth bringing.
If you think a medication is causing a reaction, call the office right away at (303) 834-5677. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
